A M Football Coaching is the brain child of brothers Adam & Matt. Both experienced Goalkeepers and Goalkeeping coaches, who have a huge desire to share their passion and knowledge with the next generation.
They realised that there was a lack of dedicated Goalkeeping coaching happening in grassroots and youth football. Because team managers simply do not have the time to take their goalkeepers aside for a reasonable amount of time for individual coaching. Focusing more on team drills than the unique requirements of a Goalkeeper.
Which is where the idea of the AMFC – Goalkeeper School came from. A dedicated place for goalkeepers to learn their trade and put what they learn into practice with their teams.

Meet The Team

Adam
Adam, had a very successful youth football career, taking up his place between the sticks at the age of 9 for a local team. He was thrown into goalkeeping as the only volunteer at the first training session, where he instantly fell in love with the position. Adam went onto play for a number of local grassroots teams before having a long spell in the Kent Youth League. Peaking interest from a number of top level clubs, eventually reaching the dizzying heights of Maidstone United’s Academy, Under 18s & Under 21s teams, playing in many high profile clashes over a two year tenure, with some now familiar faces.
Unfortunately, his playing days were cut short through injury. Although he has been known to pop up in the odd charity game from time to time.
Adam has since moved into coaching and has become a fully qualified FA Level 1 Coach, and has been coaching grassroots football for the past four years. He holds an impressive number of FA Qualifications including Level 1 Talent Identification, Equality & Diversity, Adult & Children Safeguarding, I2FC, as well as full DBS, and FA First Aid Qualifications.

Matt
Matt, has been a qualified coach for over 18 years, as well as coaching with AMFC he currently coaches a grassroots all girls team where his daughter plays.
He actually started his coaching journey training his brother and fellow AMFC coach Adam. So he’s actually partly responsible for Adam’s successes in goal. Matt has been involved with youth coaching since the mid 2000s where he steered a very successful grassroots team to the Kent League.
His experience in football started very differently though because he was actually a highly skilled referee, taking charge of some big local games with a few cup finals under his belt too.
He also holds an impressive number of FA Qualifications including Level 1 Talent Identification, Equality & Diversity, Adult & Children Safeguarding, as well as full DBS, and FA First Aid Qualifications.
